Alpha Kappa Psi was able to introduce me to a huge network of actives and alumni who had an amazing range of knowledge, insight and experience. Instead of pushing me in any one single direction, they opened up my eyes to different opportunities. I was able to make an educated decision about my career plans after graduation and my internship. AKPsi not only provided me with guidance for the future, but people that will be there with me throughout the entire process.
I'm now with Morgan Stanley in New York as an analyst in its Technology Investment Banking group.

I graduated with a Business and Economics double major in December 2006. As a member of Alpha Kappa Psi for five semesters, I was provided with an unparalleled experience, becoming apart of a culture of intelligence, integrity, ambition and cooperation. The experienced brothers and alumni of the fraternity acted as mentors in my quest to achieve my career goals. Furthermore, the fraternity's internal programs gave me the tools and skills that were necessary to succeedin the workplace. And finally, the vast alumni network provided me with unique opportunities that were unavailable to others, especially within the investment banking industry. However, the most important thing that I will take away from this fraternity is the long-lasting relationships I was able to develop within this tightly-knit organization.
I will be joining Merrill Lynch's Technology Mergers and Acquisitions group, providing due diligence and analytical support for transactions within the technology industry.

I graduated in May 2007 with a Business and French double major. During my 4 years in college, I took about 40 different classes, but there are two primary things that have had the greatest impact on my career.
The first one is finance. Even when the exams were impossible to finish, the concepts are practical. The second one, not only a very useful and practical one, but also a really fun one, is "pledging AKPsi." It's not just about discovering different career opportunities, but also about learning the skills that will help you grab those opportunities. It's not just about building a professional network, but also about finding support and friends for life. Just like finance, it is definitely not easy, but with ambition, hard work and camaraderie, there are enormous possibilities. I love Cal and I enjoyed the classes I took there, but it's very difficult to imagine my college experience without AKPsi.
I am currently working as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in Los Angeles.
